I will say that this is not my first time experiencing snow. I've been to the mountains and gone sledding and played with snow before, but those were all deliberate choices to go and see snow. There was always the time when I'd have to pack it in and go home to a relatively warm temperature. Not so in this situation. Granted, the snow did not last long, perhaps 2 hours at most.
Today, I opened my blinds and witnessed the start of a snowfall. Slow, whimsical flakes drifted in an almost lazy fashion. They didn't just fall as rain does, or even as yesterday's snow did. This snow spun, it circled, it took its time. The individual snowflakes danced with one another as they grew closer to the ground.
Now, the snow has stopped altogether, but not before gaining some momentum and becoming that snow that falls. While I loved being in the snow yesterday, it was also really nice to sit under my blankets and watch it from my windows.
