Last week I took a solo trip to Whitstable which was really just a quiet trip full of walking and looking and thinking. It was necessary, I think, since I love having me some alone time. This weekend I'm taking an impromptu trip to Berlin, Germany and possibly Hamburg (wanna see that Miniatur Wunderland museum!). Going to see Tokimonsta (an excellent Korean, LA-based female dj). All the excitement. According to food blogs, Berlin also has great Vietnamese food, so I'll definitely be getting my phở fix!
I have yet to develop two rolls of black and white film and am trying to snap through a roll of color. I'll at least be able to get the color photos up after I'm back from Germany. I did join the photography society here at Kent, but have yet to partake in a darkroom session. I'm getting antsier by the minute. But worry not, soon I'll be inundating this quaint blog with 35mm photos and you'll wish I'd never started.
Aside from the internet sitch and the film photo issue, life in Canterbury is good. Great, even. I'm really happy to have come with a friend (also studying abroad) and to have really awesome housemates.
For now, I'll leave you with some photos from my trip to Whitstable. It was exceptionally grey on the day I visited which, if you ask me, made for even better solitary time.
